at times, we all lose sight of how much control we have over our own lives. the difficulties of the past year and the repetition of routine can be blinding. ultimately it is the choices that we make that define who we are and how others receive us. with the help of our dear friend JD Gooden (singer/songwriter), it could be worse grew into a journey about happiness and the choices necessary to get there even when it doesn’t seem possible.
lyrics
No I’m never letting go
No I’m never letting go
No I’m never letting go
Oh no
No I won’t
I’m never letting go
I had a dream
And in this dream we were
We were both happy
Looking back on all that we had achieved
Like trying not to overlook the little things
And not getting lost in this desperation
It’s been here all the time
It’s fine
It’s fine
It’s fine
It’s been here all the time
It’s fine
It’s fine
It’s mine
It’s fine
I chose to be happy
I chose to be happy
It’s been here all the time
Ignoring all the signs
It’s been here all the time
It’s fine
It’s fine
It’s mine
It’s fine
It’s been here all the time
Forgot the choice was mine
It’s been here all the time
I’m fine
You’re fine
We’re fine
It’s fine
Hold on
I’m never letting go
I’m never letting go
I chose to be happy
Despite the pain surrounding
Hold on
I’m never letting go
I’m never letting go
I used to be happy
It’s up to me to change things
I chose to be happy
While everything’s collapsing
Around me
Oh no
I’m never letting go
Oh no
I’m never letting go
